How to Treat a Sore Throat
Topical erythromycin is almost never the wrong answer for this. Call your ophthalmology colleague early because one of the predictors for how much chronic disease they'll have has to do with how well addressed their acute symptoms are ophthalmologically. If you can find a gynecologist who's willing to partner with you on this, I would implore you to call them if for no other reason than to familiarize them with what the presentations are.
