In Ingamud, nouns inflict not just for case, absolutive versus argument, but also for edibility in the absolutive. It sounds almost like a radical in terms of like in Chinese, where you switch the radical out. In this case, it's much more organic. Like the horse, inedible and edible, I can see that being transparent. But the land is a little bit more of a stretch, because you have to think of, okay, well edible land means that you can grow crops on it. Unless they... Do they refer to crops as part of land?
