The Myth of Silence
The way that this is typically done is you take a two liter plastic bottle or one of those 20 ounce plastic soda bottles. And you cut the bottom of it off and you can fasten the bottle to your gun to the barrel at the end of the barrel of your gun. From what I could see on YouTube, it doesn't work at all. It does not suppress the sound of the gunshot at all. The fact that they're going to use some man-made concoction makes it seem more likely to me that they would have done this elsewhere and then brought the gun to the crime scene.
