How to Treat a Torched Tesicle

Every 10 minute in the delay to torsion increase the risk of non-viability by close to 5%. In about 2-thirds of cases, the torched tesicle rotates medially. There's no single finding on history or exam that can definitively rule out tesicular torsion. Trauma is associated with up to 10% of all cases. If you have a male patient who comes in with lower abdominal pain or nausea and vomiting, make sure to do a thorough tesicular exam.
