CHAPTER

The Knights of Texas' Secession

KGC operatives orchestrated many of the mass process session meetings and torchlight parades held throughout Texas during late November and early December. The record shows that the KGC through its Good Old Boys Network played a significant role in the secession of Texas, as well as the capitulation of the Western U.S. Army in the state. Then, having succeeded in helping Texas secede from the Union, the Knights exported the model to other states. For example, they were very successful in helping Virginia secede. And although they failed to get Kentucky to secede, their efforts on behalf of the secession movement were probably the secret society's greatest success of all time.
