Is Female Sexuality Responding to Cultural and Social Influences More Than Men?
There are these two camps in the field of sex research. The evolutionary psychologists tend to be men, and the constructionist and feminist tend to be women. All the social factors seem to have stronger effects on women than on men. There's no value judgement, it's not clearly better to be one way or the other. It seems very much true that the female sexuality responds to circumstances - depending on what it means.
