The Importance of Avicenna's Metaphysics

Avicenna really served as the Aristotle of the late Islamic period. The work that they addressed most was the Catabulti Shorat Watambahat, the book of Pointers and Reminders. It's a relatively short work, so it doesn't require such an enormous commitment of time and effort to undertake commentary on it in the way that commenting on his magnum opus the Shifah would.
