The Importance of Human Factors in Nuclear Reactor Design
The human factors element of nuclear. It's hard to, and I think it's often neglected, the value that lies there. We will learn things. The first one will be more difficult than the second one. That's OK. We'll learn things and we'll apply those lessons and we'll get better the second time, the third time. So that tenth of a kind costs for SMRs or LMRs is going to get better. In unit two in 2017, which was the first full year, we had over 13 incidents where someone tripped on an individual piece of equipment during refurbishment. But beyond that, no lost time accidents in commercial nuclear and an exceptional safety culture.
