Mike Myers character record executive Ray Foster is not based on an actual person. He is very loosely based on EMI chief of Roy Featherstone, but unlike Foster in the movie, Featherstone was a big fan of Queen. "I probably wasn't even that like dead," he said about his song Bohemian Rhapsody.
