How Do You Keep on Top of What's Wer Andw?

For things like, a, books to read, i use good reads. And for me, it's something like a list of things i might buy for somebody. Just feels more like reference material rather than something that i'm explicit about. For music, i don't have a system at all. A, because i have a decently large library of music and i like to listen to the same things over and over again,. But then what do i do with them?
