In between sessions for the album, simon and garfunkle also played a hyphophal gig at gerdy's folk city in the village. The audiences there regarded them as a complete joke. Bob dillon was one of those who laughed at the performance - though robert shelton later said that he'd just had a fit of the giggles. And this led to a certain amount of anger from simon towards dillon. In the meantime, they both made plans to continue with their studies and their travels.
