There's an enormous amount of scholarship on this very particular question of how tall he was. And there is a group of scholars who think he's much closer to six nine, but I can't remember the number. But it seems that you can take it literally the way it's stated. It almost reminds me of Brere Rabbit or something like that. You realize that Brere Rabbit is smarter than everybody else, but he's sort of presented as the underdog. There's something there about that in that story.
