The Key to Concentration Is Concentration

In a normal, non mindful moment, there's no or very little attentional resource being given towards sensations of selfhood. And so it's always a divided experience between like the thing I'm looking at and the internal experience of being a looker. There's a certain critical threshold where so much attentional resources diverted away from being the observer and into the observed that the whole sense of there being anybody there doing any observation goes away for a very practical reason. The key is trying to pay attention to something in a check the box kind of manner is really hard, because it's boring.
