Is Bitcoin an Invention?

I like to consider myself a bit of a Bitcoin historian for people who follow me on Twitter. And then something that I always say is Bitcoin is an invention. So before Bitcoin existed, it was literally impossible for you to send an electronic peer-to-peer financial transaction. It just did not exist. There was no tools for that to happen. We're in this period where this invention, this change of the world is being priced in and happening in real time.
