The Power of Introspection
The mistake is to think that that conceptualization that we've imposed on it is somehow built into the thing itself. And I think that happens with just as much with introspection as with any other aspect of our awareness of the world. It's not quite transparent that there's something common from seeing red to feeling pain, but it's available to us, right? With a minimum of reflection and maybe what the sort of experiment does is leading people to this minimum of reflection.
