I think most of the people working on it are really looking through the lens of crashing the planet. They're trying to constrain the fossil fuel economy out of a deep sense that we're heading towards an ecological collapse That's going to potentially eliminate Homo sapiens on the planet. Some are thinking about that and some are not. We need to be anticipating and preparing. But we're assuming that. I've been learning more about micro plastics in our bodies and in the oceans, which is scary stuff.
