The Importance of Conscience in Church Unity

In the last two weeks, I've been criticized three or four times for not mentioning our current president more explicitly. Part of my role as their pastor is to help them understand how the other kind of person could actually be a Christian and trust Christ alone. And therefore, we have to be careful about pushing secondary matters in a way that's going to alienate people where they do need to agree with this on Jesus Christ. There needs to be a lot of generosity of spirit there, trying to reform a church.
