You're supposed to fail because failure is the stepping stone to success. Albert heinstein, when he failed his experiments, did not just stop. He continued to keep going until he re defined physics as we know it. The worst thing you cold do was quit. Talk to your professor. I'm not a hundred percent shoe, but i know that you cannot quit just because you failed. That make you a failure.
