Gorbacho's Effect on History

The soviet union was not going to win the cold war because its leadership in the the persons like gorbacho were sitting atop a system that wasn't going to work. It's interesting to read the revous histories who treat him as a visionary who, from the beginning, drove to this point. That is not what he did. In fact, ye, he fought this for quite a while and i thin gave in only at the point where it became obvious that he didn't have many other choices around him.
