How Do You Assess Individuals for Growth?
When I worked at Intercom I had two spaces that I was leading. Growth is really about B2B selling to small and medium sized businesses, Messenger is really B2B to C. And so when I hired a manager for growth and when I hired ICs for the growth team I really needed people who were interested in small lovers like how can we tinker? How can we hypothesize what's the world of possible? It starts with what do we need to achieve...How are we going to do that with an organization? Can I hire the right person where they together will become multipliers?
