CHAPTER

The Importance of Dreams in Therapy

A dream never says, you ought or this is the truth. It presents an image in much the same way as nature allows a plan to grow and it is up to us to draw conclusions. Dreams always tell us something we do not know and suggest new ways of dealing with our neurotic impulses. This is the psyche's self-regulatory function, which seeks balance and wholeness. Jung calls this the process of individuation, our progress towards psychological maturation. People with negative complexes experience more night mass. They have a nod of unconscious feelings that can be detected through their behaviour and prevents them from achieving psychic wholeness."
