The Dissipative Structure of Life
Human beings are anti-entropic in a temporary sense. We don't contend with the present and we're not driven by the past. Instead, what we see in front of us is a landscape of possibility. In my wilder moments, I think that's associated with the physical idea of multiple universes. But that's just a speculation.
