The People of Gibraltar Do Not Want to Be Spanish
Gibraltar has been a British territory for over 300 years at this point. It became home to the British Royal Navy's Force H and Eisenhower, used Gibraltar as a base to plan and control the American's landings in North Africa in 1942. Yet Spain has not and is not happy with this situation. Since the regime of the Spanish dictator Francisco Franco, Spain has had an official policy for the reclamation of the territory.
