The social credit scoring system is, to me, a kind of orientalism. I was really conflicted about if i wanted to use the social edit scoring system as one of the main examples in this chapter on the smart self. It's looking at this thing that's happening in china, which i think a lot of people would be familiar with who are listening to this. But there is also so much controversy around it, but more so, just like, bad reporting around it and kind of like misinformation. The ideais to have some kind of social credit score, a number, a score, to make those same kind of decisions,. ranging from will you get a visa for international travel
