Flying Insects Fly in Low Density Air
A fly insect is using oxygen at a rate roughly a hundred times faster than, let's say, sane bolt running a hundred meter dash. To do that in a place where there's half or less the amount of oxygen available makes for a pretty tough challenge. In the face of so many challengers, it seems almost miraculous that these bees are flying at over five thousand meters. And michael thought so too. So he travelled high into the mountains of western china to investigate and use a specially designed box which could help test the flight limits of these amazing insects.
