Activity Levels Don't Tell Us About Energy Costs Like We Think
Researchers have found that activity levels don't tell us about energy expenditures like we think it does. The body is adjusting the other tasks it does, spending less energy on things like immune function and reproductive function to make room for this really high levelo of activity costs. And rather than adding top of the energy budget as extra calories per day, the bodies instead taking energy away from other systems.
