The Indians became aware of the many airplanes that they saw fly over and there were great passenger planes that crossed South America. But when a small yellow plane which looked like a very big bird flew low over their territory they got very excited. They began to invite these white men to come down, not having any idea what it takes to put a yellow bird like that on the ground. The Alka's built a platform about six feet off the ground and about six feet square that they thought would be just the right size for that bird to sit down on.
