Is There a Middle Way to Free Will?
There is a sort of Hume view, crudely speaking, where you don't really have free will. Then there's the ultra materialist view that even though we humans can't model every single bit of the chemical and equations and laws of physics it is all just atoms colliding. And at the furthest other end of the inspection, God gave you free will and you can do as you choose to go to grace or not. Now, I think there is a middle way. It still turns on these multiple definitions of will and act of will. But there's a whole space in philosophy that we call compatibleism.
