He's kind of an unlikely hero. Even his friend thought he was charmless. He's a doer. And he wasn't fully Japanese, was he? No, he was crazy. That's a support actually. His father had bought a samurai name so they could fit in better. This is important because he stood apart from the militaristic clique. Now he's also a brave guy because in Japan, if you were a get, the word surrender was forbidden. You could not use the word surrender. So it was a scary thing to stand up to the military and take life into your own hands.
