The Evil of Purpose Statements
I was a keynote at his conference in Vienna and he never even said hello. He basically says everybody should assume their individuality in the common direction of the company. I actually think that's evil. And it won't work anyway, but that was the concept of alignment and common beliefs. This isn't about trying to get the individual to conform to a shared gold or a shared vision or a shared understanding. Focus on the interactions. It's a more useful to me.
