A New Report Says Women's Professional Soccer League Has Normalized Abuse and Misconduct
A new report says the Women's Professional Soccer League has normalized abuse and misconduct. The roots go all the way back to youth leagues with verbally and sexually abusive coaches. In April of 2021 a head coach in the National Women's Soccer League requested that a player watch game tape alone together. Two former Portland players, Monashim and Chinead Fairley accused him of misconduct. By the end of the season half of the head coaches in the league were gone.
