Not all systems show this. You have a lot of complex systems that can degrade quite gracefully. It's business as usual until boom, it breaks. And we see this a bit with hyper connected banks. This was the great financial crisis in 2008 is that all these banks were super connected with each other. So when they were doing well, they were all doing well together. Looks great for a while, but there's always this danger of catastrophic tipping points into a system that we really were not happy with.
