Are We Operating at a Deficit?
A lot of these governments have so much debt and it's over 100% in many cases, except for Germany. So the problem with that is that we're operating at a deficit. And so as we continue to operate in a deficit, we have to continue to issue more debt to meet the margin between our tax base and our spending. But right now, interest rates are going higher.
