The Deed of a Thousand Dollars

Deeds show that women could only own property if they were married. Some of these women are considered single publicly and i think that's an interesting thing to note. Half of those women actually civilly married and they aren't so the fact they're being deeded land not to them and their symbol husband but to them alone is quite tellingthat makes me that much stronger.
