Gordon B Hinkley's Statement in General Conference in Oct. 19 85 - There Is No Paid Ministry in the Church

Elder gordonby hinkley said point blank that there is no paid ministry in the church of jesus christ of latter day saints. Elder derrick cuthbert contradicted him hours later, saying living allowances given to general authorities are very modest and come from business income rather than tithing. This same idea did appear again, but not in general conference, not in any of the manuals produced by the church and taught in the church. Instead, it appears, in 19 92, in the encyclopaedia of mormonism. So theyare buried on page five 39 of the multi volumeEncyclopedia of m Mormonism. Is that information found once again? We're not
