ISIS's YouTube Videos Are a Powerful Tool for ISIS

CNN's John Sutter talks to a man who became obsessed with the ISIS videos he found on social media. Abdullahi Yusuf says that YouTube's recommendation algorithms aggressively pushed it toward people who might otherwise have had just a passing interest. He got a passport, bought a plane ticket, and was going to fly to Syria to join the group. The message is for you to get up off your butt; if you don't like it, go do something about it.
