I use a Windsor and Newton satin varnish to layers paint on done on canvas. I do self-leveling gel and wax, which anybody who's done CVP is shown in great detail how you do that. A painting for me is about the texture and the marks that have gone into creating it. And I don't want all of those to be hidden. So anyway, interesting.
