Is There a Common Denominator in the Western?
Both of these books are looking at the stories that america tells about itself a but it seems contrary to the tier debut, where there are innumerable stories told about the west and the frontier. You said that what piqued your interest about trust was actually the absence of stories about capital. I think again, maybe there is a common denominator here. We think there are a lot of stories about the west. But can you name off the top of your head, like, five relevant western novels before the fifties? It's really hard.
