The Impact of Aging on Driving Safety
AAA has a strong constituency within AAA of older drivers. We are following driver basically in the range but between 65 to 78 years old and we are collecting data from close to 3,000 driver at five different data collection site. By the end of the study this is going to be the largest database on older driver. And what we found is that older driver as Leah aging they begin to adjust their driving behavior. For example many older driver avoid driving at night time because because the side distance issue Many driver avoid driving making left turn because the reaction time issue.
