The United States' Primacy in the UN
The United States' primacy in the UN mattered, but it also made at times, I would imagine, the Soviet Union somewhat suspicious of the organization. The tensions that will develop with the Cold War get routed through the UN. And we see that play out over the course of the coming decades for sure.
