The Effects of Breathing on Altitude
The process by which we breathe in air and use it to do things is incredibly complex. In a very simplified sense, our body runs on a fire. We take oxygen in, we burn stuff up on it, and we exhale carbon dioxide. Scientists aren't exactly sure how it works, but most people think that it interacts with the brain stem - telling you to get rid of more CO2.
