I Learned Spanish When I Was 10

As a child during the summertime, my mother would bring me to a local lake. And at this lake, there was a huge Latino community. So I remember feeling so eager to play with them. But I heard them speaking something else that I didn't understand. My mom put me into Spanish classes at a language institute when I turned 14. In college, she started learning Portuguese and eventually won a scholarship to teach English in Brazil.
