This book wasn't written in response to or to explain the Cambridge Analytica thing. It was written more, I think, as a sort of thinking about sort of politics and control. The dialectic of enlightenment was published by Adorno and Horkheimer, two Frankfurt school theorists. So it allows you to sort of head to sort of control the message of what's going out,. And also means that kind of culture itself is debased as it is marketized.
