The Variation in Time Over the Ball Between Players
The study was done by volunteers at four different tournaments. It looked at timing from address to impact, not just the time of each player. When they were a little bit quicker than that average, they tend to play their better shots. But equally, there were some players who would stand over the ball for 12 or 13 seconds and still play good shots.
