The Inflation Scare

Inflation scare was caused by probably three extraordinary events, the Ukraine war, the pandemic and then the huge response to both by monetary and fiscal authorities. This was not an organic bout of inflation. We still have imbalanced labor markets where the labor participation rate is still 0.7 below where it was pre-pandemic. So I think we need to get more people in our labor force.
