Schwep is the secret history of Western Esotericism. In 1964, a book called Giordano Bruno in the Hermetic tradition by Francis A. Yates blew my mind when I was a kid. There was a whole secret history of the modern world here - big stuff like the rise of empirical science and man's quest for the truth.
