The most powerful technique that comes out of story research is the sense of story reframing. Information alone will not engage because it doesn't emotionally involve us. So what we have to do is understand the story that our target audience has in their minds and re frame that story, not deny it but show how to shift certain elements in the story to come to a different conclusion.
