A Different Kind of Diversity
Food diversity is another sort of a positive impact of all these different e sort of temples and the cultures that they preserve. At the jagundar temple, for instance, one of the offerings is made with green paddy. For green paddy to be available throughout the year, specific seed varieties had ripen at different times must be grown around the temple. This promotes bayo diversity. The clothes we wear to temples are mostly saris. And so temples, i think, or places of sate, preserves music, dance, preserve verbs, textiles and rituals and food.
