In proof of stake, you o your pana, tryng to fake this by creating a virtual token. Thats ends up being the underlying token that you use for fees and everything else. And you do that with a signature from your cryptographi key. You can think of it as no different than versin this long ino certificate chaning that you see in old school web  that proves that you're talking to gogle.
