The Los Angeles School District's Fired Teachers
The first case we won because they rescinded their policy. Then we brought a new suit. We argued some different things in the second suit. And that one was dismissed and we're appealing it. But here's what happened. The lawyers and the leadership of LUSD obviously didn't think it was enough to fire over 1,000 people who were trying to assert their constitutionally protected religious beliefs or medical freedoms. They actually filed a motion with the court requesting that Health Freedom Defense Fund and all of the plaintiffs fired school teachers and the association that represents them pay over $200,000 in LUSD's attorneys fees.
